Peter-The whole poem was powerful for me this morning - but.."s*** that could fertilize the globe...." stood out! Somehow- That is one of the most hopeful lines of poetry I have read in a long time. And, not easy to forget either! i am going to super-impose that thought over every news article I read, as well as the things I pray for that are close to home. " For each issue I read about or deal with today, i think i will dream with Jesus...."Jesus- Show me how this particular s*** can fertilize the globe?"
Thank you for sharing this, Vicki! In a honesty, I was a little hesitant to include the word "s***"... I didn't want the word to become a distraction for anyone. But it felt like the most honest and accurate word to use. After reading your comment, I'm glad I stuck with it. I love your prompt at the end here, Jesus, show me how this particular s*** can fertilize the globe. I'm going to carry that with me. Thank you!
The last line stood out to me the most. Hope and humility captured so succinctly. Thank you!
🙏🏻🙏🏻 Blessings to you, Vicki!

I love “clip the eye and push it on through.”
We can’t undo the hook by pulling it back ( undoing past wrongs/history) but we can push on through and rid ourselves of the hook. Thanks Peter
Thank you, Bill. I couldn't shake that image…”Pushing it through” is still a painful process, but it's the only way to find healing…
Lamenting too.
I'm sorry,
I need help,
What's mine is yours,
& your kingdom come.
I need this today, Peter. Thank you.
Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us all…
